The strong leg-out performance, however, validated the lower-tier-hero formula that Marvel later deployed for Doctor Strange (2016) and Guardians of the Galaxy (2014).

Was Ant-Man profitable?

Ant-Man featured two post-credits scenes, the first showing Hank Pym revealing a new Wasp suit to Hope van Dyne, and a mid-credits scene featuring Steve Rogers and Falcon discovering Bucky Barnes, directly setting up Captain America: Civil War (2016).
