Synopsis:

"Observe and Report" (2009) is a dark comedy that follows the life of Ronnie Barnhardt, a delusional and overzealous mall security guard played by Seth Rogen. Struggling with his own insecurities and a lack of respect from both his peers and the mall's patrons, Ronnie takes it upon himself to protect the mall from a flasher who has been terrorizing shoppers. As he embarks on a misguided quest for justice, Ronnie's obsession with his role leads him to clash with the local police, particularly a confident officer named Harrison, portrayed by Ray Liotta.

Amidst the chaos, Ronnie's personal life becomes increasingly complicated as he attempts to win the affection of Brandi, a cosmetics counter employee played by Anna Faris. The film explores themes of ambition, identity, and the blurred lines between heroism and delusion, all while delivering a mix of absurd humor and poignant moments. As Ronnie's determination escalates, he finds himself in a series of outrageous situations that challenge his perception of reality and ultimately force him to confront who he truly is.
