Product Engineer

Bring the same care to the work behind a production as the art it makes possible.

About Saturation

Intelligence works best when it understands how things are connected: how a creative decision changes the plan, how the plan changes the money, and how both shape what happens next.

That is the thesis behind Saturation. We are building the intelligent operating system that will power the next generation of financial workflows. AI moves beyond the chatbot and into the work itself, helping productions anticipate what is coming, make better decisions, and work in ways that were never thought possible.

More than 17,000 producers have budgeted over $2.7 billion with us, from independent productions to projects made with some of the world’s largest studios and brands. Now we are bringing the next generation of Saturation to web, mobile, desktop, and agents.

About the role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to carry product work from the first question to the finished experience. Our engineers talk directly with the people using the product, work through the interaction, write the code, and see what happens after it ships.

We see beauty as a form of empathy. It makes difficult work feel lighter. This role is about carrying that care from the first idea to the finished experience.

You do not need experience in production finance. You do need to enjoy going from an unfinished question to something people depend on.

What you'll do

  • Learn what matters to customers and decide where Saturation can make the greatest difference.
  • Own product work fully end to end: the problem, the experience, the code, and the outcome.
  • Make collaboration feel natural across people, places, and devices.
  • Raise the bar for how Saturation looks, feels, and responds.
  • Build intelligence that understands the work and surfaces what matters next.
  • Solve hard systems problems while keeping the experience simple.

How we build

We are a fully distributed international team with no central office. We work asynchronously so there is room for focus. We write decisions down, share work before it is polished, and speak directly when something does not feel right.

Engineers carry features from the first sketch through what customers do with them.

What we're looking for

  • You have product taste and systems thinking. You care about what people experience and what makes it possible.
  • Your path may run through engineering, design, product, or somewhere less conventional. We care about what you have made, not the title you held.
  • You have led ambitious customer-facing work and can explain what you changed and why it mattered.
  • This is a hands-on role. You can write code, ship production software, and learn the tools the work requires.
  • You are comfortable working directly with customers and making progress before every answer is known.

Our tech

We build local-first, synchronized apps designed to feel as immediate and interactive as Figma and Linear. Intelligence is at its best when it works without asking people to think about it, so we build it into the foundation of the product.

Helpful experience

Experience with any of the following may help:

  • Design systems, interaction design, or high-fidelity prototyping
  • Real-time collaborative software, data visualization, or financial technology
  • AI product design, evaluation, or development tooling
  • Compilers, distributed systems, filesystems, graph data structures, or adjacent systems work

The offer

We built Saturation as a remote company from the beginning. There is no headquarters to orbit and no default city. This is a full-time role open internationally, so you can work from wherever you do your best work.
