Synopsis:

"Envy" (2004) is a dark comedy that explores the complexities of friendship, jealousy, and the consequences of ambition. The story revolves around Tim Dingman, played by Jack Black, who is a discontented everyman struggling with his mundane life. His best friend, Nick Vanderpark, portrayed by Ben Stiller, unexpectedly strikes it rich after inventing a revolutionary product called "Vapoorizer," a spray that eliminates dog waste instantly.

As Nick's success skyrockets, Tim's envy festers, leading to a series of comedic yet disastrous events. The film delves into Tim's increasingly desperate attempts to sabotage Nick's newfound fortune, revealing the darker side of human nature. With a blend of humor and poignant moments, "Envy" ultimately questions the price of success and the impact of jealousy on relationships. The film also features a supporting cast that includes Rachel Weisz and Christopher Walken, adding depth to this quirky tale of rivalry and regret.
