Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had an estimated production budget of $200,000,000, though the gross cost reportedly reached as high as $388,400,000 before a $50,600,000 reimbursement from the UK government brought the net cost to approximately $330,100,000.

How much did Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) make at the box office?

The film earned $214,500,000 domestically and $261,600,000 internationally for a worldwide total of $476,100,000. While this sounds substantial, it fell well short of the estimated $600,000,000 needed to break even.

Was Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) profitable?

No. Quantumania was considered a box office disappointment, failing to reach its estimated $600,000,000 break-even point. It became one of the few Marvel Cinematic Universe films unable to turn a theatrical profit.

What were the biggest costs in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) budget?

The largest expenses included extensive visual effects work to create the Quantum Realm environments, principal photography at Pinewood Studios in England, location filming in Cappadocia (Turkey) and San Francisco, and the ensemble cast salaries for Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Jonathan Majors, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

How does the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) budget compare to similar films?

Quantumania's budget was significantly higher than its predecessors: the original Ant-Man (2015) cost $130,000,000 and the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) cost $162,000,000. Despite the increased spending, Quantumania earned the least of the three films at the worldwide box office.

Yes. Reports indicate the gross production cost ballooned to $388,400,000, nearly double the initially reported $200,000,000 budget. A UK government reimbursement of $50,600,000 reduced the net cost to $330,100,000, but the film still came in well above its original budget target.
